The track is described by Maxi as "being determined to have a good time no matter what. You have to take your good time to the party rather than expect the party to be your good time."
To celebrate the return of Faithless, Sister Bliss has created a Faithless Mashup of classic tunes which you can hear here.

THE XCERTS have already kicked 2010 off in style supporting the incredible Fightstar. Later this week they will be heading off to the U.S. to begin work on the follow up to 2009’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘In The Cold Wind We Smile’. Their as-yet-untitled second record will see Long Island based producer Mike Sapone at the helm. Sapone has an impressive track record and has produced records for the likes of Crime in Stereo, Public Enemy and Brand New.
Initial talks about the possibility of Mike Sapone working with The Xcerts came about due to lead singer/guitarist Murray MacLeod’s love for the bands that Sapone has previously worked with. MacLeod said “Mike has produced some of our favourite records and creates unique sounding albums. We are honoured to be the first UK band that he will have produced. To say we are excited is an understatement... We cannot wait for you to hear this record.”
The Xcerts forthcoming album will be released on Xtra Mile Recordings later this year and you can expect to hear the first fruits of their labour in late spring/early summer.

"A rattling hip-shaking volley of beat pop" (it says here), ‘Giving Up On Love’ will be released on Moshi Moshi on 17th May. The headline show at Koko is their biggest show yet.
The single is a re-recorded version of the opening track from their critically acclaimed debut album, Giving Up On Love. The album is released in the US in March, through Moshi Moshi’s new American distribution deal with !K7. As well as a US Tour, the band will return to the UK for a run of shows in June alongside summer Festival appearances.

At the end of 2008 a huge chapter in Feeder's existence came to a close having just finished a massive UK tour which had seen the band rock the whole country. Having stayed with record label Echo since their beginnings (a rare achievement these days), the band had come to the end of their contract with the release of their sixth studio album 'Silent Cry' and the label was set to dissolve. Many would view this with trepidation, but for songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Grant Nicholas this presented an incredible opportunity. With a blank page and empty diary in front of him he felt more relaxed and excited than in years. Suddenly the pressure of the usual single, album, tour schedule was alleviated and he was able to return to what he'd always done best - just write songs for himself without worrying about anything else. He spent most of 2009 working away in his own time (with a few breaks for festivals) like he had done 18 years previously when he formed the band; no expectations, just writing for the pure joy of it. Of course, he couldn't help but construct a gaggle of accomplished catchy songs - he'd always had an ear for a tune, as proven by the bands 2006 'Singles' collection selling over half a million copies in the UK alone. But the new music he was making was less reflective, more instinctive and back to his rock roots - lots of guitars came out!
With a healthy bag of tunes, Grant, long time band member Taka Hirose and drummer Karl Brazil, decided to road test the new tracks to the people who had help elevate the band to their lofty status - the loyal fanbase who'd been checking the website for the last year wondering what was happening. The group booked a few low key shows round the country and announced them exclusively via Feederweb.com - of course these gigs sold out immediately. They played under the name of Renegades - no old tunes (well, maybe one or two - but very old ones!) and the response was phenomenal. It was also great fun. The band hadn't played venues this size for over a decade and it was as exciting and nerve-wracking as it had been back then.
So this next step sees the 'Renegades' moving up a gear into bigger venues returning to a galvanised core of fans, revitalised from the response to the initial shows and keen to spread the word. Feeder will of course return, but this is still the loud, uninhibited and exhilarated sound of Feeder doing what they want without a care in the world.
15 April EDINBURGH, Cabaret Voltaire
16 April NEWCASTLE, Northumbria University
18 April SHEFFIELD, Leadmill

Grammatics will be playing a few warm up shows in the UK, before jetting off to Austin, Texas for SxSW.
Here are full dates:
Monday 8th March - Leeds, Joseph's Well
Wednesday 10th March - York, Stereo
Friday 12th March - London, The Lexington
Formed in Leeds in early 2006 by Owen Brinley (guitar/vocals/keys) and drummer Dominic Ord, Grammatics' have fused disparate musical and literary influences, to make cultured, artistic pop by their own elaborate rules. With the dancefloor bass lines of Rory O'Hara and the cut-throat cello of Emilia Ergin, they fuse a love of classic British art bands like Blur, Pulp, Radiohead and Suede, with an equal fondness for acts of a heavier, dancier persuasion: The Faint, Hot Chip, Queens Of The Stone Age. Out earlier last year, the band's debut album has already been hailed as one of 2009's great arrivals.

BONOBO REVERSE REMIX COMPETITION
Simon Green aka Bonobo is a man much in demand for his remix skills so we thought we would offer you a bit of a twist on the standard remix competition format. Instead of you remixing Bonobo, we're offering you the chance to get a remix from Bonobo. Yep, for zip, nada and zilch, Simon Green will take a tune of your choice and make it lovely.
It's all quite simple really. Go to the competition homepage and upload a piece of your music. It can be anything from your cutting-edge dubstep to the oompah-band you play in at weekends. Anyone visiting the site can vote for their favourite from among the music which has been uploaded. At the end of the competition the ten most popular tracks will be sent to Mr Bonobo and he will decide which to drop his sparkles on.
Obviously we don't want you cheating those votes but it's cool to let friends, family and your supporters on the social networks know. That's just rallying the troops. As long as they're real people (that's as opposed to netbots, not fake-ass motherfuckers, who are eligible) we're happy.
Upload and prosper!
Bonobo's fourth album 'Black Sands' is released 23rd March in US and 29th March elsewhere. Pre-orders being taken now: USA and rest of world.

Having sold out London’s Roundhouse venue 2 months in advance, Frank Turner is overwhelmingly excited to announce that he will be headlining London’s Brixton’s 02 Academy later on this year.
The show will be his largest headline gig so far and an incredible achievement considering his humble beginnings of playing tiny venues, house parties, pubs, car parks and anywhere else that would have him - only a few years ago. Testament if ever there was need for one, that Frank Turner has turned underground cult status into a mainstream success story.
Frank says: “Life has been getting increasingly surreal in recent years, but headlining Brixton really is something special; I'm not sure I ever dared dream I'd get to this stage. It's an honour.”
The news comes just weeks before Frank embarks on his huge headline tour running throughout March, culminating in the sold out Roundhouse gig on 24th March. Coinciding with the tour Frank will also release a live version of hit single ‘Long Live The Queen’ digitally and on limited 7” vinyl on 22nd March 2010. Recorded at Frank’s incendiary sold out O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire show which took place last October, ‘Long Live The Queen’ captures the energy and passion of a triumphant pinnacle of Frank’s solo career. It features on ‘Take To The Road’ - an all encompassing DVD/CD package also released on 22nd March through Xtra Mile Recordings. Picking up where 2007’s ‘All About The Destination’ DVD left off it includes the entire live set from O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the sold out show at Union Chapel at Christmas, as well as promo videos, tour diaries, backstage interviews, a photo gallery and the audio of the Shepherd’s Bush gig as a bonus CD disc.
Full dates are:

Following the tour Frank will release the beautiful song ‘Isabel’ as the third single to be taken from his Top 40 album ‘Poetry Of The Deed’. To be released on 12th April 2010
Currently supporting Flogging Molly on their huge arena tour in the USA and having recently sold out solo shows in Toronto, Montreal and LA - the international plot continues to grow with a confirmed set at Coachella Festival in April, dates on the Revival Tour in Australia, gigs in Hong Kong and a slot at the famous Calgary Folk Festival in July. Further summer festivals to be announced over the next few months.

So here we are, twelve years since Doves formed in Manchester and released the Cedar Room EP on the Casino Records imprint (funded by the one and only Rob Gretton) and ten years have elapsed since Doves epochal debut, “Lost Souls” was released on the legendary Heavenly Recordings. In that time we have been privy to a catalogue of genre-warping singles and a quartet of albums that have forced writers to go back to the thesaurus in search of new superlatives. These are “The Places Between”, A multi-format best of that has cherry picked the best from number one albums: ‘The Last Broadcast’ and ‘Some Cities’, last years critically acclaimed masterpiece, ‘Kingdom Of Rust’ and their generation defining debut ‘Lost Souls’. Indeed, from number 3 hit ‘There Goes The Fear’ to the Motown thump of ‘Black and White Town’ and the anthemic morning after glow of ‘The Cedar Room’. ‘The Places Between’ has been painstakingly sequenced by Jimi, Andy and Jez themselves in the way they want you to experience their last decades work, in short this is the definitive Doves Best Of.
Furthermore, in addition to a host of B sides, rarities, and unreleased tracks that make up the second disc there is a smattering of brand-new recordings, ‘Blue Water’, Drifter (Featuring Cherry Ghost’s Simon Aldred) and the brilliant new single ‘Andalucia’.
The album, released April 5th, comes in single disc and multi disc versions. The tracklistings are as follows:

Lights is already a major star in her homeland of Canada where she won the Juno Award (Canada’s equivalent to a Grammy) for Best New Artist and two honours at the Canadian Radio Music Awards, while her debut album ‘The Listening’ crashed into the Top 10 of the Canadian album chart and the Billboard Heatseekers charts.
She now sets her sights on the UK with the March 8th release of her debut single ‘Ice’ on Warner Bros. Records.
Live performances including the V Festival, the GIAN Incoming and Introducing tours and a North American tour as support to Keane all contributed to LIGHTS’ growing popularity to the extent that her MySpace page has now amassed over 21 million plays. LIGHTS is an eager YouTube uploader and her many videos include unique covers of Coldplay’s ‘Lost’ and ‘I Can’t See The Light’ by Brit metallers Architects.
